Fit + Sleek Prenatal Physique is a fitness video designed to help you to safely exercise throughout your pregnancy. It was created by Leah Sarago, CSCS. She is a Pre- and Post Natal Exercise Specialist. The video has been created as a form of comprehensive training program that pregnant women can safely use regardless of whether they are trying to get pregnant, are pregnant in any trimester or have had a baby and are trying to gently recover.
Each of the workouts is 15 minutes in length. This makes it possible to fit a workout into even the busiest schedule. That said, it also makes it possible for you to do as much or as little as you feel is right for you based on your progress and your current physical condition. The video is laid out into various workout plans based on your level. This makes it easy to know how to get started and how you can continue to progress if you need to change things up based on your increasing fitness or increasing length of time into your pregnancy. Women can quickly and easily target their own unique goals in this way.
The DVD doesn’t make any assumptions about your physical fitness level upon getting started or how you will feel at any point throughout your pregnancy. Instead, it simply offers workout plans for everybody from beginners to trained individuals. The workouts can then be used with a progressive approach to be sure that you continue to experience results regardless of where you were when you started and where you are at any given time afterward throughout your pregnancy.
It should be noted that even though Fit + Sleek Prenatal Physique was designed by an expert and is meant for pregnant women, it’s still a very good idea to talk to your doctor about your intentions to start using it and to continue doing so throughout your pregnancy. The reason is that every woman has her own unique needs and it’s a good idea to check to make sure that the video will be safe based on your medical history and fitness expectations.
The 15 minute workout segments include: Warm Up, Upper Body Mat Work, Upper Body Cardio Sculpt, Lower Body Barre Workout, Lower Body Sculpt, Prenatal Core Workout and Prenatal Stretching.
Aside from the video itself, you will need a few pieces of equipment that are easy to obtain or that you may already have. These include a yoga mat, a chair or couch with a sturdy back at waist-height, and three sets of weights (light, medium and heavy).
